Dan
ParticipantThe view your tickets link doesn’t appear to be working(I’ve tried with the default 2015 theme installed as well). I’ve seen this similar thread a few times on here, and the suggestions to upgrade to the latest(4.2.7.1), which I have(as well as the other required plugins).
The “view your events” link that appears on events that have attached tickets previously purchased by the logged-in user just sends me to the corresponding single event page, which displays the tickets available for purchase again – not the tickets that have already been purchased.
Is there actually a fix out for this, or is this still a known bug in 4.2.7.1?
Context:
I’m using a custom loop to get a bunch of events, and display their corresponding tickets, but on both my custom loop and the default single-events page, I get the same behavior. The href of the anchors is actually a URL like http://example.com/tickets/164, but it would just bring me to the page for the event with the ID of 164.Hopefully this makes sense – I’ve reset permalinks, and done all the usual stuff I can think of, but not getting anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

ParticipantAlright – I’ve actually misrepresented the situation. I didn’t uninstall all the plugins. I’m actually using “Event Organiser” as the plugin to manage my “events” and create the post type – the tickets links work for event pages associated with the events calendar plugin.
so I guess my new question is whether the “show tickets” pages are supposed to work with other custom post types. I know we can add the ticketing to different post types, but viewing those tickets associated with another custom post type seems to still be an issue.
Any thoughts?

MemberHi Dan,
Thanks for getting in touch with us! Glad to help you once again in our forums 🙂
I just made a couple of tests and could confirm that what you report is indeed a legit bug. Although the ‘view my tickets link’ is working for event and pages, it fails for custom post types right now. I logged the bug and linked it with this thread (which I’ve set to pending fix so it doesn’t get auto-closed) so you’ll get a heads-up when the fix is shipped.
I also reached out to the dev that worked on the ‘view tickets’ functionality to see if she can find a temporary work around other than hiding the link!
Thanks once again for the report! I’ll send you a heads-up if I have something that might work until this is fixed.

ParticipantThanks for the response – any idea where/when on the roadmap this issue is set to be addressed?
Really, the time being, what I need to to get the number of tickets purchased for by a user for a particular product(preferably by product ID).
Woocommerce doesn’t appear to have this kind of function built in, but since your plugin displays the total number of tickets a user has historically purchased for an “event”, I’m hoping you’ve got a quicker way to get the purchase count for a particular ticket/item/product for a given user in an event, than what I would be doing straight through woocommerce.
I’ve searched
Hopefully this makes sense.

MemberHey Dan,
Hopefully the devs could find a workaround this bug with a template override until it’s fixed in the plugin files + released 🙂
https://gist.github.com/niconerd/3e48e215b7e8fc4d845ff09cc037d9d0
Create a template override for the ‘order-links.php file at [your-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/orders-link.php and paste the code above in it. That should make it work for now.
Please let me know if this fix works and if you still need help with the request above or if this fixes it,
Best,
