Redirection 301 of my events page

Dear support

I would like to modify the permalink of my events page, for SEO reasons. I would like to set “ateliers et stages de yoga”.
from : http://yoga-en-provence.com/evenement/
to: http://yoga-en-provence.com/ateliers-et-stages-de-yoga

1/ can I insert spaces or should i insert “-” beetwen words in the permalink area ?
2/ to avoid 404 errors, I would like to add a 301 redirection in htaccess, is it correct ? can you helpme on this?
3/ is there something else I need to do to prevent/avoid errors ?

Thanks for getting in touch with us! Let me help you with this topic.

You can change your Events URL slug by navigating to your WP Admin > Events > Settings > General tab. The URL slugs cannot contain spaces, so yes, you should use “-” instead.

To create 301 redirects you can do so manually by editing your .htaccess file, but the easiest way to do this is to use a redirect plugin.

Making those changes should not create any errors. but we always suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can test things out and make all plugins, theme and WordPress core updates without disrupting the live site.
