ParticipantI have been looking for a way to customize the confirmation a user receives after they submit a community event. Right now it just displays a basic one-liner that the event was submitted.
When searching for solutions I discovered a thread that touched on this subject and provided a plugin for a custom redirect after a community event submission.
Thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-to-change-the-message-people-see-when-they-have-submitted-an-event/
Plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/redirect-to-different-url-after-event-submission/I tried it out and unfortunately received this PHP error upon submitting a community event:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /Users/[omitted]/Websites/[omitted]/wp-includes/functions.php:3707) in /Users/[omitted]/Websites/[omitted]/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1174How can I resolve this error or customize the template a user sees upon submitting a community event?

MemberHi Mandy,
Great question! We actually have a mini plugin you can install to create a redirect to a custom page once an event has been submitted to the Community Events form:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/redirect-to-different-url-after-event-submission/
Will that do the trick for you? Please let me know if it doesn’t for some reason and I’d be happy to keep looking into this with you. 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantThanks Geoff.
As I stated in my initial message, I’ve already tried that plugin. It gives me the PHP error I posted above.
I have tried disabling all non-events-calendar related plugins as well as switching to the default 2016 theme. The error still appears.

MemberHi Mandy,
Oh gosh, so sorry I missed that detail in your original post!
I just installed the helper plugin and was unable to get the same error notice using the same setup — default WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme and not other installed plugins, except for The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, Community Events, Filter Bar and the helper plugin.
It looks like those are warning errors rather than fatal errors. Do you, by chance, have WP Debug enabled on your site? If so, you will want to disable that and that will hide the warnings.
Thanks!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
