Michael
ParticipantHi,
Running latest version of WordPress, v. 4.3.1.
All plugins kept up to date at all times.Came to update 3x plugins recently. The 3x plugins which were being updated at this point included AddThis Sharing Buttons, Custom Fields Search by BestWebSoft, and WooCommerce.
Resulted in the whole server falling over as something went into an infinite redirect loop completely flooding the server.
I have done some debugging and the PHP appears to be running from the calendar module on the site.
Any ideas what has gone on here?
Had to disable every plugin on the site as I’m not sure which one is causing the conflict, so it’s going to be a laborious task of running through all of this. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the matter while I’m running around sorting this problem.

ParticipantHey Michael,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Did the issue occur when trying to do a bulk update of all three of those plugins? As in, did you select them on the plugin screen together and then select update on the action bar? If so, was that when the redirect loop issue happened?
One thing you could do would be to re-download a fresh version of the plugin from your account here and upload directly, deleting the existing files to see if there were any issues with the initial update being unsuccessful and providing an incomplete download.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantYes it was a bulk update with those 3x plugins. Interestingly though, they all showed as successful before things blew up.
Will have a good test over the next few days or so to figure this out. Will update this ticket for others reference when I get to the bottom of this.
It always amazes me how something related to WordPress can just magically decide to break in such a catastrophic way for absolutely no apparent reason.

ParticipantHey I am having this problem as of today as well. I have narrowed it down to the events calendar + pro plugin.
This brings down our entire site, then the ISP locks it out for an hour due to exceeding redirects.
This is a very serious problem.
After finding that it was the Event Calendar and Pro that were causing the issue, I updated the base plugin as it was out of date to 3.12.3
The Pro part is not giving me an available update link, so it remains at 3.10.
So now in addition to the redirect problem I am also getting the notice that there is version mismatch.
Digging a hole here folks, need some help ASAP.

ParticipantHey Duane,
Thanks for reaching out to us here. However, we ask that you open a new thread since it sounds like the actual issue here is slightly different from the original posters. Before posting though, it’ll help to have both plugins up to date to the latest versions since we only support the latest versions of the plugins here in the forums. You can download the latest version of the PRO plugin from our site here and manually upload those files via FTP.
Michael,
So the issue happened the one time with the upload and not something that seems to be happening consistently with everyday use of the plugin? If so, it sounds like there might have been some competition with the plugins and an activation hook, possibly for a welcome screen or something along those lines.
Thanks!
