Recycling Posts

I just realized my content manager is recycling posts in Events Calendar Pro.

What I mean is that if there are various events happening in the same space with most of the same information she uses the first post again and again.

This results in the URL looking funny because it is the first post that is represented.
For example:
This event is a movie about “Jewish Sports Legends”
https://heightsites.com/event/comedy-live-london-singer-songwriter-daniel-cainers-jewish-chronicles-hebrew-tabernacle/

While the UrL is about a London Singer Songwriter.

I noticed the event screen has the ability to edit URL’s. Do you folks recommend editing the URL in this situation. Resulting in a URL that closely aligns with the event.

Thanks for reaching out! Let me help you with that.

Yes, you can edit the URL for the event, just as you would with any regular post for your site. The only thing you should be aware of, is that if you shared that link before in another site (for example in Facebook) then if the people try to go to that url after you changed it, they will get a 404 page not found error.

To avoid that, you should try to edit the URL for your event before you publish it.
