    Hi,

I’d like to purchase Tickets for WooCommerce (to go with Tribe events pro), however, I need to ensure that my requirements would be met prior to purchase.

I offer transport tickets to customers that requires the ability for them to purchase a 1-day a week ticket (recurring every week), a 2-day, 3-day, etc. for a particular event with each ticket-type recurring.

Is this possible and do you have any documentation on it? if it’s not yet available do you have a rough date so I can purchase it the second it is released?

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Andy

Alternately, are there any tricks to going about what I require if recurring tickets are not yet ready? Would love to know a date if this is the case as well, as I’ve been seeing this feature build commence since over a year ago πŸ™‚
Very keen on it as you can imagine as I’m sure many others are, too.

    Hey Andy,

Support for recurring tickets is unfortunately very limited at this time, and while marginally better than it was in the past, it unfortunately is still not at the point to offer these specific features yet:

I offer transport tickets to customers that requires the ability for them to purchase a 1-day a week ticket (recurring every week), a 2-day, 3-day, etc. for a particular event with each ticket-type recurring.

I unfortunately do not have a specific ETA on when these features will arrive – sorry Andy!

Please let me know what you think and if there’s anything else I can help with.

    Thank you,
    George

    Thanks George.

Could you please advise where it is currently at and which product I would need to purchase?
Also, is there a workaround at the moment that would semi make it work as required?

    Thank you.

Sorry George, last question on this.

Because essentially these “tickets” I’m trying to sell are memberships so to speak, could I not just use the WooCommerce membership plugin with plans connected to a recurring event/ticket-types?

Would love to hear your thoughts and if you think it could work (and maybe provide a little explanation of how you would go about it) I’ll go ahead and purchase the Tickets Plus plugin πŸ™‚

    Hey Andy,

You could indeed sell memberships separately and use them alongside Events, but you cannot integrate memberships and tickets and such – not with where our plugins are currently at, anyways. I’m sorry about this πŸ™

As for where the support for recurring tickets currently stands, the best option would be to create a recurrence series, and then for an event that you would like to sell tickets for, simply “break it out” of the series so that it becomes its own standalone event. Here’s a screenshot of this “Break from series” button for reference:

You ask about potential workarounds for the time being; unfortunately, aside from the above “trick” there are no workarounds at this time.

I hate bearing all this bad news, Andy, but I hope the information is clear and helps you move forward with your project. Please let me know if I can help with anything else! πŸ˜€
