ParticipantHi,
We are having some problems with recurring events.
This is how we do it.Creating a New event:
Name:Disco
Fullday event
Startdate: 2014-05-08
Enddate: 2014-05-08
Recurring every week
End on 2014-05-29Going to the calendar, only shows the event on 2014-05-08.
Clicking on it shows the single event, notifies that is is a recurring event, clicking “show all” only shows the 2014-05-08 event.Shouldn’t it show all dates in the calendar at this point?
Ok so get it work, I go to WP admin, choose “edit single”, to break out.
The calendar now shows the recurring events on 2014-05-08, 2014-05-15, 2014-05-22, but not on 2014-05-29 (last day)So to the questions really,
1. Adding a single event and recurring it doesn’t work until you break out of it?
2. Shouldn’t the last day show up or, should i add the day after/week after to show the last day?May 8, 2014 at 4:04 pm #154237Barry
MemberHi – I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulties.
It certainly should work without breaking it out. Based on your example, here’s what I just tried:
- Went to Events -> Add New and created a new event
- Set it up with the name, dates etc and recurrence pattern you described
- On viewing the calendar (month view) I see it on all appropriate dates (8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th)
So at this point I’d like to confirm what versions of both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are at on your site (I know you noted down 3.5.2 – I guess for PRO – but what version of The Events Calendar are you running?) and also ask you to try our basic troubleshooting steps:
- Please update our plugins if you haven’t already done so
- Deactivate all other plugins
- Switch to a default, unmodified theme
- Try setting up a test event as above once again
- See if it still behaves as you described initially
This might help us to pinpoint a conflict, if there is one.
Let me know how you get on!

ParticipantHi, thank you for your answer.
I narrowed it down to this plugin.
WPML Multilingual CMS Version 3.1.5After I disable it, the recurring works, the thing is if i re-enable it, the recurring still works!
Any one else out there with same problem or fix?

MemberAh, ok. Unfortunately there are definitely some compatibility issues with WPML.
We and they are both keen to work together to help resolve them … but, sadly, at this time there is not much we can offer in the short-term.

MemberHi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
