Recurring Performers on Event Calendar

I’m trying to set up a public calendar for viewing performances at a nightclub. The same performers/groups play one of two showrooms each week. Multiple times per month.

Each performance slot has 2 or 3 bands playing. So the NAME of the event is not necessarily the performer’s name, it will be Performer A/B or A/B/C.

Is there some kind of shortcode I can use to make this set up easier without having to copy and paste from event to event? Like a database of performer “assets” that I can add to each event?

Here’s kind of a simplified breakdown of what I’m trying to do – We have 2 performance venues A and B

We have 8 bands:

– Smiths
– Sticks
– Stones
– Rock
– Paper
– Scissors
– Knives
– Guns

We have shows Wed – Sat starting a 8 pm

Thursday schedule

Room A

800-930: Sticks / Rock / Stones
1000-1130: Guns / Knives /

Room B

900-1030: Paper / Scissors / Smiths

Friday schedule

Room A

800-930: Sticks / Stones
1000-1130: Knives / Guns / Smiths

Room B

900-1030: Rock / Paper / Scissors

Hey Mrblond (or would you prefer vic vega? 😉 ),

I’m limited in the amount of support I can provide here in the pre-sales forum for this but would like to help get you pointed in the right direction.

For the bands, you could register a new taxonomy for the tribe_events post type to hold this information. You could then just select the associated bands for the event rather than typing them out for each event. You would then use the get_terms() function to display them within the templates.

You could do the same for the different rooms as well.

Alternatively, you could check out our Pro plugin and the additional fields available there that would be a little bit of a simpler way of handling this.
