ParticipantHi guys, we need the ability to create a single event with a single ticket, that occurs on multiple dates, eg. A fitness course that takes place on 16th, 17th, 23rd & 24th of December.
We’ve tried using the recurring events, but the ical/google download appears as a single date, the 16th of Dec, but doesnt include the 17th, 23rd & 24th. Also, its creating a new single event for each recurrence, but we need all four dates packages as one.
The ticket email only displays the first date and not the recurring dates also.
If you can provide us with a solution it;; be much appreciated.

MemberHi John and welcome to the forums!
I’m afraid that recurring events are not compatible with tickets at the moment–though it is something we have started working on.
That said, ticket should work for events that span multiple days. So, for example, you should be able to create an event that starts one day and ends on another day and add a ticket to it. Just be sure it is an event that lasts multiple days rather than a recurring event, which would be the same event repeating on multiple days.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can.

Participanthi Geoff,
thanks for your reply
we understand how to create an event that is taking place say on a saturday and sunday of the same week
we need to create an event that take place on sat & sun 2 weeks in a row
or say a tue and thur two week in a row.
Its one course so when the ical downloads we need it to reflect this and not require two seperate courses as this woudl defeat the whole purpose of using this system,if you could please advise how to do this.

MemberHi John,
Thanks for following up! Splitting a single event into multiple start and end dates/times is not a feature at this time.
That is an interesting idea though — would you be willing to submit that to our feature request forum? I’d be interested to see if others would find that useful as well. I can see how they would.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this help clarify things?
Thanks,

Participanthi Geoff,
really surprised that its not possible to do this as its pretty standard in the like of ical
to be honest we’re not gonna be able to use either of the plugins without this feature so would request that we can get a refund on this occasion.
I’ll put it up in the feature request forum but we;’re on a deadline fo rthis current project and will now have to sort a workaround

MemberHi John,
Sorry the plugins won’t work out for you on this project. I went ahead and refunded your order and the funds should show back up in your account in 5-10 business days.
Thanks for posting this as a feature request — it does sound interesting and one that would be good for the team to discuss.
Best of luck with your project!
Geoff
