Recurring Events Suddenly Not Posting Correctly

I have been inputting events all afternoon and suddenly- with nothing else changing- no updates to plug-ins or my theme or anything- when I went to post our “English Country Dance” event it only created 11 recurrences and almost all of them in 2016.

I have the event recurrence set as
Start Date & Time: 7/13/2014 @ 7:00pm
End Date & Time: 7/13/2014 @ 9:00pm
Recurrence: Every Week and will end Never
Recurrence Description: Every Sunday (Live Music 1st Sundays)

I have tried making other new events and all of them do similar things.

I have tried deactivating my other plug-ins but as I suspected they are not to blame. I haven’t tried doing my theme yet because I have a child-theme and being new to wordpress now that I have that set up I don’t want to mess with it for fear of breaking the site. Despite this I don’t think it is causing the problem because as I said- I wasn’t doing anything to the theme today and the calendar was working all day until it stopped mysteriously.

Hi: I’m sorry you are experiencing difficulties.

Can you confirm if this happens consistently? I can’t replicate the same problem locally, I’m afraid, even when using exactly the same pattern you did.

Though I understand your reluctance to switch theme our full troubleshooting steps have proven their worth over the course of many thousands of support requests and I’d definitely recommend completing them before we go any further.

Thank you for your response! Today it is back to normal when I make new events (though I have had to re-make all the events that I had made during the time it wasn’t working on Friday because those still weren’t repeating correctly even after I tried to edit them today.) So that’s that. I have no idea what happened on Friday to make it not work or what happened in between to make it work again because from my end nothing changed but at least its working again so I am happy! 🙂 Thank you again for your response!

Sometimes these odd glitches can occur – the server might suddenly find itself out of memory or some other peculiar situation may crop up – but hopefully you find it’s plain sailing from here on.
