ParticipantAfter updating to the latest version of the plugin we have a problem on our homepage. We wan’t the same view for a recurring event and a normal event.
So the image of the event next to the text and not above each other. And no blue text… just the same as a normal event. How can we make that?

KeymasterHi Rene,
Thanks for reaching out! Can you try adjusting the settings under Events > Display (please see this article for more information)? These have an effect on how much the theme influences the events pages, and adjusting them could resolve this issue.
If adjusting those settings doesn’t make a difference, you can also make the changes with CSS. This guide has some good info on how to do this, but if you do need to go this route and would like help, please let me know!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantHi,
Maybe strange but I don’t have these options for templates available.October 16, 2017 at 10:27 am #1364229Jennifer
KeymasterHi Rene,
I just noticed that you are using the Enfold theme, which actually has it’s own styling for our plugins and overrides some plugin features. Sorry I didn’t notice that before!
You can change this by adding some code to the functions.php file of your child theme – please see this post from Enfold’s authors for more information.
Let me know if that makes a difference!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantWith the settings above I can alter the settings but that doesn’t change my problem. The problem are the recurring events. Is there a way to aviod other settings for the recurring events or, where can I find the settings for the recurring events?
The heading is different from the normal events and the information after the date is differtent (see screenshot)October 19, 2017 at 7:52 am #1365939Jennifer
KeymasterHi Rene,
Those settings should apply to both regular and recurring events – we currently don’t have separate settings for styling recurring events. However, it looks like in this case the event meta is being wrapped with a link (see screenshot). This isn’t something that we do within our plugins, so I believe this is coming from your theme. In fact, it looks like that entire section on your homepage is actually being generated by the theme rather than from our plugin, in which case changing the template settings for events would not affect this section.
I think you may need to reach out to the theme author directly for help on editing that section. I’m sorry I don’t have a solution for you here, but please let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
