ParticipantHi all.
Having updated to the latest version, I can’t get recurring events to work.
My pix show my test example, creating a recurring event at the same time daily between December 1 and December 21, 2017.
The settings seem to me to be right on the back end. But when I click publish it says at the top, “1 instances of this event have been created through December 1” (rather than 21).
When you look at the event on the site and hover over the “Recurring Event (See all)” link, the pop up box says “An event every day that begins at 8am, repeating every day until December 21, 2017” – which is correct.
But when you click on “Recurring Event (See all)” you only get one instance of the event, for December 1.
I’ve tried many different combinations of recurring event with the same result.
Can you help me with this please?
Best wishes,
Chris

MemberGood afternoon Chris and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the recurring events not working as expected on your install.
I would love to help you with this topic.I am pretty sure this is caused by the Create recurring events in advance for setting under Events -> Settings -> General.
Would you mind testing it out and re-saving your recurring event ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThanks Geoff. I see your point! However I only created the test event with that far-off date because I couldn’t create a recurring event for this month.
However, this week I have successfully created recurring dates for contemporary events. So whatever caused my problems last week haven’t, if you’ll pardon this, recurred…
Thanks for coming back to me.

MemberGood evening Chris,
Thank you for writing back.
I forgot to mention. When you change the Create recurring events in advance for setting under Events -> Settings -> General, you will actually need to “Update” the recurring event so that it can create those additional events.
In any case, it looks like this is now a thing of the past 🙂
Let us know if we can assist you further with this.
Cheers,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
