ParticipantHaving a problem with our recurring links not working. Here’s an example
http://www.hwdsb.on.ca/dundasvalley/events/2017-05/
Click on Victoria day and it doesn’t’ work http://www.hwdsb.on.ca/dundasvalley/event/2017-05-15/
Put a “s” after event http://www.hwdsb.on.ca/dundasvalley/events/2017-05-15/ and it works fine.
No I’m not sure what the problem is. I’ve updated the plugin, I’ve disabled all plugins and only left Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro. If I disable the Events Calendar Pro and only leave the regular one, it works fine.

MemberHey Jared, hope all is well!
That’s certainly odd. Will you please do two things for me:
- Head to Events > Settings and make sure the calendar slug is set to events and the event slug is set to event. If they’re not, please change them and save the settings.
- Try running through the steps outlined here. Looks like it could be a permalink issue and these steps will help clear out that possibility.
Let’s start here and see what we find. 🙂
Thanks!

ParticipantHi there,
thanks for getting back to me. I tried the suggessions but nothing worked. As stated, I only have the two plugins, events and events pro plugs enabled in the entire dev system now and still no go. I added new recurring events and they do work now.
Canada day

http://www.hwdsb.on.ca/dundasvalley/event/canada-day/2017-07-01/All work but notice that in the previous url in op, the name of the event is missing.
http://www.hwdsb.on.ca/dundasvalley/event/2017-05-15/ should have been http://www.hwdsb.on.ca/dundasvalley/events/victoria-day/2017-05-15/
These events were created on July 29, 2014 so perhaps it was an problem with a previous version of calendar pro? I also noticed, I cannot edit these recurring events in the backend unless I edit them as single.
Not sure what else to tell you.

What happens if you create a new recurring event? Does the same issue come up? I’m curious if this is affecting all recurring events or only ones that were published back in 2014.
Thanks!

ParticipantIt’s working fine with the new version however older links that were created using the bad version are not working. I’ll have to recreate those I suppose when the error occurs.
I’ve run into another issue that I wanted to point out.
Go to the bottom of the page and click on “Previous Events”, I’m getting a 404 error if I open it in a new window or tab. I first noticed this when I got an error from our link checker software. Why would this happen? If I just let the link go without opening in a new tab, it show All Events for and shows nothing.

MemberCool, thanks for following up and confirming that new recurring events are working.
It looks like the “Previous Events” issue is something that has been ticketed in our system. I’ll add this thread to the ticket and, while I don’t have a timeframe for when it will be resolved, I will follow up with you directly in this thread when I know more.
Thanks!

MemberHey Jared!
Just wanted to jump in here and let you know that we released Events Calendar PRO 4.0.6 last night and it included a fix for this issue. Please check your WordPress updates, or you can also grab the latest copy by logging into this site and heading to My Account > Downloads.
Thanks for your patience while we worked on this! Please feel free to open a new thread if you continue to experience the same issue or have any other questions that pop up during updating and we’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers!
