Hello,
I talked to someone during presale about the ticket functionality but I can’t seem to get it to work correctly.
We create recurring events (that are tours) every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each tour can accommodate 15 people. However when I make the event recurring it doesn’t duplicate the tickets. So if someone buys a ticket on Monday, there is one less ticket that can be sold on Wednesday, even though there should be 15 tickets available. How can I fix this?
Also, how do you manage attendees of events? I can’t figure out how to find the names of all the ticket holders for a certain ticket. For example, we will need to know who is coming to the tour (event) on Wednesday, November 29th.
Thanks,

On the Event’s edit page, you can “add new ticket” — then put the event date in the title (e.g., “Dec 30 Grande Tour”). At least then, a customer can see which tickets are for which date (without us having to create separate event pages for each date).
This isn’t ideal, of course, because it’s a bit confusing for customers to only see one “buy now” on the first date. But if they click any event in the recurring list, at least they’ll see all the date options/tickets at one glance.
Anyway, hope that helps you or someone — and hopefully automatic recurring tickets will be a feature soon…!

Thanks for your input but that really won’t work for us. We have 3 different tickets and need separate quantities per day, not per recurring event. For example, 15 tickets on Monday, 15 tickets on Wednesday, and 15 on Friday. Unfortunately that would create a lot of confusion and wouldn’t save any time as we’d probably have 50+ tickets on each event page.
This really seems like an important feature that a lot of people could use and I am having a hard time finding a plugin that achieves it. At the very least, could Events Calendar have ticket templates? This way I could just add a ticket like a custom fieldset? That would save time when building out tickets for the month.
November 17, 2017 at 3:45 pm #1386088JenniferKeymasterHi Ryan,
Thanks for reaching out!
Unfortunately recurring events do not currently support recurring tickets. So for example, if you add a ticket to a recurring event, it is actually the same ticket on every event in the series, not a ticket that gets duplicated onto each date in the series. This is why you see the quantity decreased on all days when someone clicks on a ticket for another day – it’s actually the same ticket. I’m sorry for the bad news here! We are working on expanding support for tickets on recurring events in the future. I would recommend casting your vote for the feature request so that you can stay up to date on progress.
For the time being, you would need to create separate events (or break each event from the series) and add the tickets individually to each one to truly have separate tickets for each tour. Ticket templates would be a great feature (and could be worthy of a their own feature request), but this is not currently something that is available with Event Tickets Plus.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer
