Recurring events: Link to first event in list view displays last event of series

Example: I have a recurring class. It meets once a week for six weeks, May 18 – June 22. I set it up as a recurring event. The first event (May 18) (excerpt) in the series appears in the event list view. When the title link is clicked, the LAST event of the series (June 22) is displayed in full, and not the May 18 event.

To be clear, I need the link to the first class to go to the full listing of the first class…

Sorry to hear about the troubles. I visited the link provided and followed your instructions. After doing so, I encountered the error described. Can you please review our Testing for conflicts guide to ensure you’re not experiencing a theme and/or plugin conflict?

Hi Hunter,

Thank you for your reply. I tested for conflicts and the issue seems to be with the plugin “Redirection”. I searched the WP support forums and indeed, there is a history of conflict between this popular plugin and TheEvents Calendar.
The thread I found goes back 4 years…and it provided me with the answer.

I followed the advice of user world rider who said, in the Redirection settings, he disabled a modified post group in the “Groups” tab, and the issue was solved. That’s what did it for me. I don’t yet know if there will be other issues with the Redirection functionality.
