I recently built a website using the Events Calendar Pro and I have an issue with the recurring events. I have read some others on this forum who have similar issues, but I couldn’t find a solution. Basically when I create a recurring event the initial creation works without a problem, but when I go back to edit the recurring that is anyone except for the first one in the series it deletes the recurring events that occurred before that event.

For instance if I created a weekly recurring event initially starting on 8/1 and recurring 4 total times. It creates an event on 8/1, 8/8, 8/15, 8/22. If I go in and edit the event on 8/8 it deletes the event on 8/1. If I edit the event on 8/22 it removes the events on 8/15, 8/8, and 8/1.

I have also read that there should be a pop up that says edit all events in this sequence and only edit this instance, but no pop up occurs in my install of events calendar pro when I edit an event.

    Hi psasser,

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. It looks like you are running Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11, which is an outdated versions. The recurring events are improved in version 3.0. I recommend that you update, although please note that it’s a BIG update so if your site has custom CSS or other customizations you may need to work to get them compatible in 3.0 too. However, that’s the best first step to take to help with the recurring events.

    Best,
    Leah
