Recurring events being duplicated after editing all events in the series

After editing a recurring event, duplicates of the event are appearing on a few days in our calendar. For example, an event that occurs every Sunday until November 23rd has its title changed, and now on Sunday October 12 and 19 there are two of those events, one with the old title and one with the new. The duplicate events also show up in the edit Events area in WordPress, but all three of them link to the same edit page, which shows the latest version of that event.

Howdy akanyc,

Thanks for posting your system info! Unfortunately there is a strong liklihood that this is caused by a conflicting plugin or theme. It is odd that it is a bit randomized. Sometimes that happens due to caching. I know it is a little bit of a pain, but our best way to proceed is to test if there is a conflict by follow this short guide. If something is conflicting, it then walks you through identifying what is conflicting. Once we know that we can work towards a fix.
