ParticipantI had this working already, but since updating to the latest version and doing some domain registration manouvers in the past, (don’t recall if it was before/after update and before/after the confirmed state of working), recurring events are not showing in the calendar. I mean I can create an recurring event, and the initial event does show up, but the serie itself won’t. And the only event showing, somwhow knows he is actually a serie, since in the dashboard it gives options to edit all or just single, and in the end user view it tells that this is an recurring event as ruled. But the rest of the series is not showing anywhere..
..Except, when I choose to edit a single event of the series (practically choose “edit single” on the only event of the series showing in the events list) and then get warned about that you are going to break the event and proceeding, it will create all the events of the series in to the dashboard’s events lis as well s end user calendar views. (And opens the one for editing, and when saved, it works as should, just the one is being edited.)
However, when trying to translate a serie in WMPL, again just creates a “serie” of one occurence into another language. Editing this serie of one gives again an option to edit all or single, and when chosen single and warning about breaking the serie, it will again create the rest of the series.
I have both installed, FREE and PRO, and the license key shows green and everything OK. And my setting for reccuring events are: “Recurrent Event instances” UNTICKED and “front-end recurring event instances toggle” UNTICKED and default 24 & 24 for next ones. Ticking those above does not have any affect, and it seems like this now works like the “show only the first instance..” would be ticked and its unticked status is not somehow working. Also the might be something going on with license things, due to the domain name moves on the server (?), although everything seems to be OK.
But how should we start solving this out?

MemberHi Mikko and thanks for getting in touch!
So sorry about the trouble here with recurring events, especially on the translation side of things. I’m afraid the sticking point here is that Events Calendar PRO’s recurring events feature is incompatible with WPML. We’ve been working with the WPML team to build more integration between the two plugins (it requires a lot of work on both sides) and, while we’ve made strides in that direction, there’s still a lot to do that we plan on releasing in future updates to the plugin and that I know WPML plans to release in their future updates as well. While I do not have a timetable for when everything would be released, I do know it’s a difficult process and is more down the road than right around the corner.
My hunch is that the recent plugin update (likely both to Events Calendar PRO and WPML) overwrote whatever configuration you had in place before that was successful in getting things to work. Are you able to downgrade versions to what you had installed before? If so, that might be the best way to restore the compatibility you were able to achieve with The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO and WPML.
Thanks,
