    Hi there!

I would like to apologize that I am submiting this question to this forum. I know that this is not the right place but my coleague who has access to our Events Calendar account is on vacation so I am not able to log in our account.

Here is our licence code for The Events Calendar to proove that we have a licence of your plugin: c7accf7c24bcdfe21d3a067b6bb786a169ab8cfa

So, about my problem. We are using The Events Calendar in a bit different way that it is designed to. We use just the backend (administration) of your plugin and our frontend is presented by a simple WP_Query that returns events according to they EventEndDate parameter to display only upcoming events.

The problem is that our web is multilingual and we use WPML. I am not able to display the recurring events. It displays only the first occurence (no it won!t change when the first occurence is gone). I have figured out that the problem is that when your plugin creates new occurences of the recurring event it doesn’t set their language, so WPML’s WP_Query filter won’t let them through.

Is there any workaround for this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Honza,

Thank you for sharing your license key and for being concerned about proper use of these forums – we appreciate that! 🙂 I’ve removed your license key for security and privacy purposes.

There are unfortunately two layers of this issue that leave us with very little we can do 🙁 I’m sorry to bear that news! But here is why:

    1. We are not able to help with custom coding or custom implementations of The Events Calendar, so even if the problems here were “just” with your WP_Query implementation, we wouldn’t be able to help troubleshoot the problem.

    2. On top of this, even “out of the box” The Events Calendar and its add-ons only have minimal compatibility with WPML at this time. We are working hard to improve compatibility with WPML but at this time there are many inconsistencies in how The Events Calendar works with it, and compatibility is not 100%.

You mention that a specific WPML filter is not being added for recurring events, which seems to imply that adding this filter would solve the problem here. This is unfortunately a very complicated customization, and so I do not have code to share to make this happen 🙁

I’m really sorry Honza! With all this in mind, it seems like the best options are to code this yourself or to hire a professional to code that for you. We have a list of highly-rated professionals here, in case it’s helpful → http://m.tri.be/18k1

    Sincerely,
    George
