    Hi All!

    I’m having a few troubles with creating events and tickets in my calendar.

    I’ve added recurring events to my calendar from now through 2020. However, when I try and add in tickets, the date seems to get stuck on whatever the first date in the series is.

    For example, if I have a weekly event starting this Friday, July 27th and I made the tickets go on sale from now until Thursday, July 26th at 5pm, then every weekly occurrence AFTER this Friday would show tickets as unavailable, since they were only on sale until the 26th in the original event. When I try to edit individual events, the edits simply don’t save. Every time I check the dates, it still says whatever the first event was. Not a caching issue, and I’m saving within the right fields.

    The other major issue is there’s no confirmation on the event page. I get the confirmation emails, but when booking and event there’s no way of knowing anything at all has happened on page. That makes it difficult, especially with…

    Another issue, and I think it might be theme related but I’m not sure, is the individual events have styling that hasn’t really been defined anywhere. Half of the text is white on white, and there’s a strange beige box around the RSVP and information areas that also end up showing white text. The calendar page is perfect, but the actual event pages seem to be using their own terrible styling.

    Hi, there. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.

    Our ticketing product doesn’t currently support PRO’s recurring events.

    If you start to create a ticket for a recurring event, there will be a little question mark notice that reads:

    Currently, tickets will only show up on the frontend once per full event. For PRO users this means the same ticket will appear across all events in the series. Please configure your events accordingly.

    You should add your vote to this existing feature request for Event Tickets to support PRO’s recurring events.

    Something some users are doing right now is using PRO’s recurring events to populate their events calendar but then breaking each occurrence from the series to turn them into single events — basically using PRO as an event generator but not actually using its recurring events functionality on the front-end. Others are just dealing with the tickets on recurring events even though you can’t then tell which occurrence they reserved the ticket for… use this information for your own reference but please don’t take it as any sort of recommendation.

    Oh dang, that’s really tedious. I figured recurring events would allow for more configuration for recurring tickets, especially in a paid platform.

    Not being taken as advice, but if I did want to break off recurring events from the initial event, how would I go about doing that?

    Lastly, the email attendees get, how can I edit that? I’m not seeing it in any admin areas and that’s something that needs to be configurable for sure!

    You can break event from series here.

    In regards to editing the email template. Our Themer’s Guide actually provides a wealth of information on customizing our plugins, including a list of modifiable templates and instructions on how to duplicate and tweak them to your preferences. You’ll find the template for our RSVP and ticket emails located at /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php in your WordPress directory.
