ParticipantHi,
Up until now I’ve been successfully using WPML to translate my recurring events.
However, at the moment it’s not working and I don’t know why. What’s happening is that WPML only translates one event in the recurring series (whichever one in the series I choose to translate, but it does not copy that translation over into all the other events in the series).
I can either manually copy the translation into every event in the series (but when there’s over 20 of them, it’s time consuming). Or I could open up that first translated event and then make that a recurring event in itself… but then it wont be connected to the events in the other language. Again, I can connect them manually, i think, but that too is time-consuming.
I dont know if one of the updates has changed this aspect of WPML compatibility with the events calendar pro?? i’m doing everything as i’ve done many times previously but its just simply not working… :-/

MemberGood evening Karoliina and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have encountered while using recurring events with WPML. I would love to help you with this topic.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch. We are actively working on a solution for this.
Alas, I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through. With that in mind, after a backup of your database, you could buy yourself some time.
I recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
I have been successful restoring the functionality with the following combination:
- WPML 3.8.3
- String Translation 2.6.2
- Translation Management 2.4.2
- the Events Calendar 45.13
- the Events Calendar Pro 4.4.17
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
