ParticipantHi there,
First of all, love the calendar and everything that comes with it. It looks and works great.
I am however having an issue with the recurring events.I can make the recurring events and they show up on the calendar just fine. The problem is when I go to registering and filling out the form. For example, lets say I have an event on October 6, and recurring on November 6. When I fill out the form on the November 6th event page I receive confirmation for the October 6th event – and that’s what I get for the confirmation email too. It automatically goes to the parent (First) event of the series. I have tried this multiple times now and every time I register I always get confirmation for the parent event. If the first event in the series is in the past, say August, and I try and register for the recurrence of this on Nov 6, I get a pop up that says – “This event has passed.” Even though I tried to register for the upcoming Nov. class.
Why is this happening and how can this be fixed?
Thank You,

MemberHi Mark. Thanks for your kind words. We’re always glad to hear people like our stuff. Feel free to leave a 5 star review for our free/core plugin or of our Event Tickets core/free plugin.
I’m guessing you’re trying to use Event Tickets with PRO’s recurring events. Is this correct?
If it is, unfortunately this isn’t a supported feature at this time. However, you can add your vote to this existing feature request: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3685663-recurring-event-support-for-tickets
That idea’s status says Started, but I know they ran into a snag on something with it so it might still be a long while.

ParticipantYes that is what I need, guess I was thinking this was a feature already.
This is a very important feature for my client’s website. Every class my client has needs registration and is recurring 5-20 more times. This is an absolute necessary feature for this site.
But because it is not, how can I set up the registration separately for all my events? How do I get around this, as it is necessary that this works correctly for client. Is there an add on that can duplicate classes for me? Or can I somehow make each class it’s own parent after I make all the recurring ones?
Thanks,

ParticipantI think I figured it out. After I make the event recurring and the new ones show up in the list, I click on ‘edit single’ which then prompts me with the event being on it’s own, and then I add a new ticket and the registration works. Is there another way perhaps that wouldn’t hinder so much time, or is the most efficient way to separate each event and add a new ticket for each and every event?
Thanks,

MemberHi Mark.
Sorry this functionality isn’t existing for you yet, but, yes, you figured out the best way to do it.
If you create a recurrence series (say with 10 events), you can then click each one’s Break from Series link (more info here).
Then, once they’re single events instead of part of a recurrence series, you can add tickets.
If you’re familiar with WordPress’ parent/child post relationships, each recurrence post/event has the series post/event as its parent. If that doesn’t make any sense to you, you can just disregard it.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
