Just added 2 new recurring events–set them up the same way I set some up last winter. Each is a weekly class (one class is every Monday, one is every Wednesday). I set each up to show once a week but both events are showing everyday! I’ve deleted them and tried again but still happening. Help!

    Hey Lorene,

I’m sorry to hear about these issues! There are a few pieces of information that could make a huge difference as far as finding out what’s responsible for this problem on your site. If possible, can you address the following items in the order they appear?

    1. First, what versions of The Events Calendar and of Events Calendar PRO are you using on your site?

    2. What version of WordPress is running on your site?

    3. Can you take a screenshot of the Recurrence settings for these events, and share a link to that screenshot in your reply? You can use an apps like CloudUp for taking & sharing screenshots, or just manually upload them to your WordPress site’s media library and link from there, or Dropbox.com, etc.

These pieces of information will help us get started on the troubleshooting here. Thanks in advance for sharing these details!

    Hi Lorene,

Thank you for the screenshots. I checked out your site’s month view, however, and it seems that this is actually working fine – I do not see the events occurring on every day of the week. Here’s a screenshot of what I do see → https://cloudup.com/cIlynzC2RLP

Any thoughts on that? Did you make some changes that seemed to resolve this for you?

    Thank you!

Sorry not to clarify, the events that repeat start in September (same class, one is in Berkeley on in Albany). Teh class in your screenshot is a similar event I set up last winter/spring and it works fine. Here is the link to the Sept calendar page: http://www.birdingwithted.com/news/events/2015-09/
    Thanks!

    Thanks for clarifying that Lorene.

One thing I’m curious about is that the event itself has a start date in September and an End date in November – this means that the event itself is two-month-long event, a single event lasting two months.

However, it seems like the event is actually just a 3-hour class. This 3-hour class occurs on Wednesday every Wednesday for two months, but is not a single event lasting two months itself – does this difference make sense?

In other words, if the classes are three-hour classes that you show up for at 9am and then end at 12pm that same day, the start and end date should be the same date, with those times entered. THEN the recurrence options take effect – repeating that 3-hour event every Wednesday for 2 months, instead of being one 2-month long event itself.

Does this difference make sense? Try changing your start/end dates as described here and let us know if it helps.

    Thanks!
    George
