ParticipantHello,
Using pro 3.6. – Recurring events are not working. When i creat an recurring event only the first event is shown up. All others are missing. I made the standard troubleshooting steps, but nothing changed. Recurring Events is why, we choose pro – but this feature doesnt work. Same setup. 1st event is showing and says it is a recurring event. Onclick on recurring event only the one with the starting date is showing.

MemberHi,
I can help troubleshoot this. Is it first possible you can update to 3.8.1 and test the issue then. We have included bug fixes in the latest releases for Recurring Events that might solve your issue. After your update we can certainly help out if you are still having issues.
Thanks.

ParticipantHi,
update to 3.8.1 – nothing changed. Tried even a new recurring event and also only showing for the first event, but no recurring events.October 21, 2014 at 6:49 am #824322Brian
MemberThank your for updating the plugin.
So it looks like there is a conflict somewhere that is causing the issue. To help narrow down the problem can you follow our Testing For Conflict Guide and see if that narrows it down:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/testing-for-conflicts/
Also, please confirm you are create new recurring events and not trying to change an event to become recurring. The Recurring Event only works if you do it on a new event that has not been previously published.
Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.
Thanks

ParticipantI have tried everything here and nothing works. I have made forum posts and no one knows what to do? How can we use your plug in if it does not work on WordPress properly?

MemberHi there taochiflow! Rob from Modern Tribe here – Brian pointed out that you’d chimed in on this thread when he and I met this morning, and it’s clear to me that you’re frustrated. That’s never a good feeling and I apologize on behalf of the whole team for your experience thus far. In looking through some of your recent history and the paper trail that follows it, I think there may just be a miscommunication here that I’d like to see if I can sort out. It’s always disappointing to see when someone is bummed about their experience, and even moreso when the perception in their eyes is that the plugin “does not work on WordPress properly.” Since this does sound like something specific to your installation – not a core problem with the plugin itself – I think working through it together should get everyone on the same page and hopefully let us better convey the scope of this problem.
In reviewing some of the threads where you’ve elaborated on this problem, I noticed you logged a very similar issue a few weeks back: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/recurring-event-not-showing/. By following that thread to its conclusion – though I’m not sure if you ever saw Geoff’s follow-ups, since we never heard back from you in the thread? – I notice that another user chimed in and confirmed the same problem was a WPML conflict. I would bet that’s what is causing the same problem you’re seeing.
I notice you mentioned in that other thread that you have in fact deactivated WPML, and the issue persists. Can you confirm once more that you’ve tested this with the WPML plugin completely turned off? And that if it is indeed still persisting, that you’ve been able to deactivate all your other plugins to run a similar test?
This is where doing a secondary test site is important for our support team: it gives them a conflict-free environment to better assess the problem and definitively conclude whether there is another plugin/theme conflicting. If we get through that stage and have confirmation that the problem occurs even when no other plugins are active, then we’re definitely willing to log in on the admin side and check it out for a user. (I would have no problem giving such a directive to Geoff or Brian when the time is right). But we’ve found that process can be streamlined and can save time for everyone if users are able to meet us halfway by following the “Testing for Conflicts” instructions.
Let me know. I want to do right by you here, though it’d be easier to solve this if we had you posting in your own thread rather than in this one (where I worry we might distract from the issue xxtita originally posted and still needs help with). If the solutions I’ve proposed above don’t get you where you need to be – or you find that even in conflict testing the problem does persist – you can definitely open a new thread and we’ll prioritize checking it out for you.
Thanks in advance for your patience and support so far. If you have other feedback or want to continue this discussion offline, I’m always available via email (rob @ this domain). Thanks a ton for helping us improve.
