Recurring event categories

    Hi,

    I have Events Calendar PRO and Community Events installed on the site. When creating a recurring event using Community Events form, child events were assigned with correct categories. However, when updating the event categories, not all child events were updated. This also happened when using custom taxonomy instead of the default event category. This error is not encountered when updating in backend.

    Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry about this issue you are having with the categories.

    I have tried to re-create the glitch but I didn’t manage so far. This is what I did:

    • Create 2 event categories (“Front-end” and “Back-end”)
    • Go to the Community Events Submission page and create an event
      • event is recurring daily for 5 days
      • event has the category “Front-end” assigned to it
    • The event series is properly created, all recurrences have the “Front-end” category
    • Edit the event series in the front-end (basically using the Community Events submission form)
      • remove the event category “Front-end”
      • add the event category “Back-end”
      • update
    • The event series is updated and all recurrences now show only the “Back-end” category.

    Is this what you are doing as well or your process which produces the glitch is different? Can you give me some details so I can look into this?
