Craig
ParticipantThis just became an issue, where we go to add a recurring weekly event for Mon-Thursday and your plugin creates multiples of the same event.
See my screenshot attached. Can you see how many “Happy Hours” were created? In some cases, 4-5 per day!
What’s going wrong here??

ParticipantIs there a better place to get support for this plugin? I feel like my issues never get responded to in this forum.

ParticipantHello? Anyone?

KeymasterHello Craig,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your issue.
I’m really sorry about the super long waiting time. We are receiving an unusually high number of requests in our forums in the last couple of days, so it takes a bit longer until we get to all of them. We try our best to answer them in a timely manner.
I’m really sorry about the issue you are having with the recurring event duplication. That is unusual. Can you please send me a screenshot of how that event is set up, what are the recurrence rules, so I can check if I can recreate it?
Thanks and looking forward to helping you solve this.
Cheers,

KeymasterDoes this happen to all newly created recurring events or only to some? If only to some, is there a difference you can pinpoint?
Thx!

ParticipantHi AndrĂ¡s – It happens to all recurring events we’re creating.
I’m attaching a screenshot of the event setup. We’re trying to create weekly happy hour events that occur Monday – Thursday, 2-6PM, every week.
Can you spot something we’re doing wrong?
Can I provide you with WordPress admin access so you can try it out yourself?

ParticipantI have not worked on anything since I last posted here.
So, I tried a new test. The first test, I set up a Happy Hour for a 1-week span only, and everything worked just fine. The events were published one per day only on Monday-Thursday.
My second test, I chose a 3-week span in December to try and finish adding Happy Hour events for the month. Even though I set the event to Mon-Thursday only, it created an event every day of the week.
Please see my screenshot. In red, you can see the event is popping onto the calendar on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, which are not days of the week I chose.

KeymasterHi Craig,
Thanks for testing it and sharing that screenshot. The screenshot helps.
What happened there is you set up an event that starts on December 11 at 2pm and ends on December 28 at 6pm. This is your basic event.
Then you set up this event to recur every M-T-W-T.
If you change the end date to December 11, I believe all should be fixed.
Hope this clarifies. Please check and let me know if that fixes it.
Cheers,
