Recurring Annual Events Showing Up Every Day

I’m launching my site with a new host so have a staging site that mirrors my live site.

Something has taken place that has caused recurring events to repeat every day instead of their once a year assignment.

My live / old site is working okay. Same theme. Same plugins. Although… it is running 3.10.1 on WP 4.2.2

We have recently imported posts and content that had been missing (the gap between live site and staging – a few missing blog articles). I see this has created a few duplicate entries in the new list of events… But something else has caused

I’m happy / willing to export the working calendar, delete the broken calendar, and re-import… Whatever it takes…

I’m in a panic as I launch the new/updated site this Saturday (Aug 1) and want this to be working.

Hey @ideasandbox!

(Love the avatar, BTW.)

First off, are both sites running the same versions of the plugin? Just want to make sure because you noted 3.10.1 and we are currently at 3.11.1 for both The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO.

Once you’ve checked that and synced the version up, I would certainly try deleting the events from the live site and reimporting from the staging site using WP Export (Tools > Export) on the staging site and WP Import (Tools > Import) on the live site. My hope is that any sort of conflict that may have existed will be wiped clean and allow for a fresh import with all the correct values.

Let’s start there and see what we find. 🙂

3) Yay! This solved it.

I was afraid to update on the live site in case the upgrade is what broke something. That was NOT the case.

The *only* other thing I’ll add here for future reference is to MOVE EVENTS TO TRASH, but then DELETE TRASH before you try to re-import… Or else it says “xxx already exists!”

Yay! My calendar is all better! Thank you!
