Jamie
MemberI am having very erratic behavior when I try to set an event to recur. I have has several issues, but the most pressing is this one:
We set the event to recur on the calendar once a week and it does this for the some months but not others. The details:
I built an event that looks like this: http://awesomescreenshot.com/019g090d8And it looks fine for September (http://providencefrisco.com/events/2012-09/) and November (http://providencefrisco.com/events/2012-11/), but October goes crazy and puts it on every day of the week (http://providencefrisco.com/events/2012-10/).
I’ve deleted, emptied the trash, and rebuilt it from scratch repeatedly and I’m frankly out of ideas. Help!

ParticipantHi Jamie,
That is strange behavior indeed! Just to confirm, you have deactivated all other plugins to rule out another plugin conflicting with ours? And, reverted to the Twenty Eleven theme?
Thanks,

MemberYes, I’ve deactivated all other plugins but I don’t have Twenty Eleven installed to revert to it. I can’t imagine how the template files could be causing this though.

ParticipantHi Jamie,
Many themes out there use very complex code and hook into many core WordPress functions, modifying things a great deal and potentially causing conflicts like this with queries. That is why we ask that you revert to the Twenty Eleven theme because we test our plugin rigorously on this theme to ensure there are no problems like this. Please download and install the theme and try it out and let me know what you find.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Jamie,
Yikes, thanks for doing that. I’m going to test some things out on my end to see if I can recreate. I’ll post back soon.

ParticipantJamie, have you been able to recreate this with any other events or even by recreating the same one on different days? I’m not seeing the same thing happening on my end adding the same date/recurrence criteria and am thinking there must be something else causing the issue.

MemberYes, both the 9AM and 11AM Services do this reliably. We’ve also had the NEXT (Students) event do this, although after a half dozen tries it didn’t do it the last time I tried it. I think the NEXT event had it showing every day in November though. These (Over services and NEXT) are the only two weekly recurring events we have on the calendar.

ParticipantHi Jamie,
Thanks for sending me access. I’d like to be able to take a look at what plugins you are running. Can you please enable this for my profile?
Thanks,

ParticipantThanks Jamie. Ok, I’m really curious about whether or not any of the plugins are causing this because I’ve seen this exact issue occur with certain plugins activated. Can I try deactivating all the other plugins to see if this makes a difference?

ParticipantThanks Jamie, ok I’m still seeing the issue with all other plugins deactivated. Strange. I’m going to need to escalate this up the ladder because I’m not sure what else could be going on.
I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for you patience.

MemberAny update? It’s going to be awkward when people start showing up for our church services on Mondays.
