“It looks like you’re using The Events Calendar PRO, The Events Calendar: Community Events and The Events Calendar: Filter Bar, but the license keys are invalid. Please download the latest versions from your account.

You can always check the status of your licenses by logging in to your account on theeventscalendar.com.”

This is the message at the top of my wordpress events screen. My site recently went live and I dont know if I should disconnect the site that is currently connected to my install. When I go to https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys I see the original hosting URL where i built the site. I recently went live and changed the URL to the current one. Everything seems to be working still, and there is alot of traffic to my site already so should I be disconnecting it and reconnecting with my new URL here? is there any downtime associated with this? I dont want to mess up something on my first day of the launch 😀

    Hi Kellsey!

Thanks for reaching out to us! 🙂

I’m sorry to hear that message is showing up. Let me help you with it.

Let me first note that, we don’t limit any functionality of our plugins if you don’t put the license key in Events > Settings > Licenses tab. Active license keys are only needed to get automatic updates.

My previous statement is NOT true with the Event Aggregator functionality. An active and valid Event Aggregator license key is needed to enable imports.

should I be disconnecting it and reconnecting with my new URL here?

Yes, this is safe to do and is indeed something that I would suggest trying to see if it clears the messages. There is no downtime associated with removing your license from your Licenses settings tab.

Please let us know how that works for you.

    Thanks,
    Victor
