I understand that Event Tickets Plus will NOT support tickets for recurring events.
What does this mean exactly? That the option to buy tickets isn’t available if an event is recurring? Or that the option is available, but you can only buy tickets for a recurring event by selecting a single date?

Welcome to our Pre-Sales Questions channel 🙂
At this time, users are not able to purchase tickets for a specific event within the series of recurring events. The tickets are for the entire series.
So, if you have a recurring event that takes place every Tuesday for 4 weeks, the ticket would be for every Tuesday within those 4 weeks. Users would not be able to purchase a ticket for a particular Tuesday.

Thank you for clarifying. I have one more question, not sure if you can help me with this.
I am currently using another WordPress calendar (which I’m not happy with) + WooCommerce (which I am happy with). I plan on using WooCommerce with your Event tickets plus addon.
To work around the event tickets for recurring events issue, I was thinking about duplicating the event several times instead of creating a recurring event. That way, the user can purchase tickets to a single event in the recurring event series. Provided that the details are all exactly the same, am I allowed to assign the same WooCommerce ticket product on multiple events? Not sure if this is a question for you, or the folks at WooCommerce.

You are not able to assign the same ticket to multiple events. Each individual event will have its own tickets. We are currently on track to improve how recurring events and ticketing work together, but there are limitations at this time.
