ParticipantMy mini calendar next / previous month was not updating. To fault find I tried deactivating, now I’m having a problem re-activating.
The admin panel suggests it is activated but no options are available in the sidebar or widgets available. I get message at the top of the admin page with a red background suggesting that I use the latest version. When the link is followed it says I am using the latest version (which it the popup windows says is 3.0.3). My admin page shows that I am using 3.0.5I’m still developing the site and have not got around to establishing a backup system so before de-activating my other plugins and risking other problems or lost data I thought I’d ask if there is anything obvious I have missed.
Previous problems with IE9 display are now being ignored. I have other plugins that don’t play nicely with it so it’s just not worth the time needed.

MemberHi colinwood,
Events Calendar PRO 3.0.5 is indeed the latest version – and it should be used with The Events Calendar (our core plugin) 3.0.3. Can you confirm that the core plugin is also up-to-date?

ParticipantThanks. I was sure the free version was already de-activated but obviously I was wrong. Re-activating the core/free version allowed the pro version to activate.
I’m still left with the problem of calendar next/previous links not working, all I get is a constant circular wait symbol. I’ve seen this as an issue on previous posts but could see clearly what needed to be done about it. I’ll set up a backup system and then start systematically de-activating plugins, unless you have any thoughts on something else I could try first ?August 23, 2013 at 11:57 am #62617colinwood
ParticipantProblem sorted. I configured a backup and then started messing about with the plugins. The plugin called “WordPress Auction Plugin” by Nitesh Singh is what made the difference, once that was de-activated all was back to normal. HTP future users.
Do you have a suggestion for a replacement to the auction plugin. The simpler the better, it’s just to enable a school to sell pledges, kids agreeing to wash a car or walk your dog for a week.
Is there a way to move the forward/back links on the large calendar to the top of the page rather than the bottom?August 23, 2013 at 3:11 pm #62649colinwood
ParticipantSorted the last issue mentioned (link to next month missing from top of calendar). Switched from tribe template to my themes templates in the admin area and added some of the CSS found on another post on your forum to my theme (shown below).
I still prefer the look of the tribal theme template but not having a link in the right place would cause problems – if anyone knows how then I’d appreciate your input.CSS mentioned above…
.tribe-mini-calendar td {
padding: 4px 0;
}
.sidebar .tribe-mini-calendar-nav span {
margin: 0 15px;
}

MemberI’m afraid I don’t have any ideas with regards to auction plugins, spending some time in the WordPress plugin directory and asking in the general WordPress support forum might yield some ideas there, though.
If there is anything else can I ask you to create new threads? We do try to keep each thread focused on a single question.
Thanks!
