Questions on 3 features in PRO

Hello,

I’m considering the Pro for 3 reasons:
1. Recurring Events (complex schedules like every 3rd Tuesday)
2. Location Search/Distance
3. Search

So items 1 and 2 are hit. Item 3 is of particular interest to me. I need the search to integrate with the out of the box search as well as the normal search within events. Within events, if I search, it currently only searches the title of an event (in free). In pro does it also search the description or tags? I need at minimum tag searching. Many events are called things like: RTP Analysts – F# or something like that, while the tags are data, big data, cloud etc. So if somebody wants to find events about “Cloud”, they may not find it as it is not in the title.

Hello David!

Yeah, search in PRO will not include Tags either. However, you might want to check out our Filter Bar plugin–this allows visitors to search events by a number of different variables to filter the calendar–including tags.
