Please note that at this time, Event Tickets Plus will NOT support tickets for recurring events. Please keep this in mind before making your purchase.

We are going to be putting tickets for monthly events for this site, I am just not sure what your statement on the pro ticket plugin is saying will it not allow you to sale tickets to more than one event each month?

Please explain in greater detail what your statement on the page actually means.

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for your interest in our plugins and Event Tickets Plus specifically — I’d be happy to explain our statement in a little more detail 🙂

The Events Calendar by itself lets you manage and populate a calendar with events and there are no particular limits on what you can do here — so with this plugin alone you can create as many events as you need.

Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus are designed to let you sell tickets and these plugins work really well when used in combination with The Events Calendar. Combined, you will be able to sell tickets for any event or events you like.

Events Calendar PRO is another plugin which extends The Events Calendar with extra capabilities, including recurring events.

This feature is useful because, for example, if you have an event taking place once every month then instead of creating each of those monthly events individually you can simply define the first event as “recurring”, configure the pattern and Events Calendar PRO takes care of generating and updating all of the events.

Please note that at this time, Event Tickets Plus will NOT support tickets for recurring events. Please keep this in mind before making your purchase.

This caveat applies to the tickets when used alongside recurrence functionality provided by Events Calendar PRO. Officially, this is not supported but in practice you can in fact create tickets for recurring events, but the ticket will apply to the whole series rather than to individual events.

So, let’s suppose you use Events Calendar PRO‘s recurrence capabilities to generate a series of events like this:

    • January 6
    • February 3
    • March 3
    • April 7

If you try to add tickets to just one of those events you will find those same tickets are available for all events in the series. As a result, a customer who purchases tickets when they look at the March 3 event will effectively have purchased tickets for all events in the series.

For some ticket sellers this is actually what they want, however I would emphasize that officially we don’t support this and the behavior is not guaranteed to remain the same longer term.

This is a lot of information to digest, so if you have further questions please don’t hesitate to let me know 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
