    Hi,

In case the email carrying event tickets are not delivered to the buyer for whatever reason or they lose/delete the email by mistake, as an organiser how can I resend the tickets manually or via system?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey @Tac,

Our plugins unfortunately do not have a feature to allow for the manual re-sending of tickets to attendees. 🙁

To help mitigate the possibility of delivery failures, you might find a plugin that enhances the WordPress Core wp_mail() function (which our plugins use to send emails) helpful. This plugin, for example, helps use SMTP instead of your server defaults for sending emails: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

This is not a way to manually send failed emails, to be clear; it’s just a way to hopefully reduce the amount of such failed emails, and is an example of the type of plugin that might help with this. Explore similar options in case it’s helpful.

    I hope this helps! 🙂

    Cheers,
    George

Thanks George for getting back to me so quickly, much appreciated!

Well it’s not a solution or near to a solution. Having this plugin installed won’t resolve the issue in case the customer has lost the ticket or email and we need to resend it.

Do you have any plan in near future to get this?

    Thanks.

Another thought: Is there a way to send a copy of the email to admin everytime a ticket email is triggered?

That way atleast we’ll have a copy of every emails with tickets that’s sent to the user. I know it’s a painful task but a possible work around to enable us to resend the tickets manually just in case.

I really as counting on you on this.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Tac,

    Thanks for your followup.

Do you have any plan in near future to get this?

At this time there is no such plan. 🙁

Is there a way to send a copy of the email to admin everytime a ticket email is triggered?

Sort-of—you could custom-code a solution or hire someone to make such customizations for you, or you might find a plugin like this one useful ? https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/

I haven’t used that one specifically, it’s just a general recommendation and you can try it out or alternatives if you find them.

    I hope this information helps!

    Thanks George!

The plugin works perfectly fine. The beauty of this plugin is that it keeps the email formatting (html or plain text) without any issues.

It’ll be a great functionality to have within Community Tickets plugin though to re-send the emails.

    Great advice,
    Thanks.

I’m glad to hear that helped—be sure to give that plugin a good rating on WordPress.org to help out its developer!

I agree that more email control within our plugins would be quite a nice feature to have. I cannot promise any addition of such features for quite some time, as other features are currently taking higher priority, but it’s a great idea.

To help make the features a reality, feel free to share your ideas on our UserVoice page here! ? http://tribe.uservoice.com

    Thank you,
    George
