Query Events that are in specific Category or Venue?

Hi,
I know how to use a basic query to get the most recent events, but I need to modify it in 2 separate ways:
– I need to be able to show events that are in a specific event category
– and I need to show events that in a specific venue.

if you could give me some PHP code to use in my theme that would be great as this is urgent.

Hi Joyce,
I’ve already gone through the docs and tutorials. Maybe I’m missing it, but I’m not seeing anything that helps me.
I know it has something to do with querying the event category/venue taxonomies, but I just need to be given some help to get it working.

I don’t need anyone to customize my site, but if someone on the support staff here would be kind enough to just post some demo code that will do what I need it would be greatly appreciated instead of just telling me to go read your documentation.
