Quantity + and – Not Appearing, Limits Not Working

The + and – buttons are not appearing in IE on our event registration pages, and IE users are also able to manually enter a number higher than what we allow (4) using the WooCommerce Advanced Product Quantities plugin. This feature works fine in Chrome and Firefox. Can you help me so when using IE the quantities are limited correctly like they do with other browsers?

The + and – buttons are not appearing in IE on our event registration pages, and IE users are also able to manually enter a number higher than what we allow (4) using the WooCommerce Advanced Product Quantities plugin.

This sounds like some sort of Javascript issue.

Could you specify which version of IE you are testing with ?

Furthermore, if the quantity is indeed controlled by the plugin above, I would recommend checking :

1. If that plugin works properly on other WooCommerce in IE
2. If the issue persists with a default WordPress theme

Testing on IE 11. I did further testing by removing the plugin and the issue persists. See the screenshot to see the missing + & – buttons.

I should also note that the plus and minus boxes don’t appear on any mobile browsers I have tested.

Sorry for the late reply.

I can confirm that I have been able to reproduce the issue you described.

This issue is actually “normal”. It is caused by the way different browser handle numeric inputs.

So as such it is not a bug per se and it was introduced by the good folks from the WooCommerce team in version 2.3.

To make a long story short, they dropped the + and – buttons and replaced them with a numeric input.

The good news is that you could totally do a template customization on how the add to cart works.
In fact, certain themes such as Avada do exactly that.
