    Hi,
i can’t´find a demo for the QR Code ticket verification.

Is there a demo or video of the app / mobile solution, etc!?

    All the best,
    Eva & Michael

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out! While we don’t offer a live or video demonstration for the QR code feature of Event Tickets Plus at this time, you can learn all about our ticket QR codes, how they work, and how to check in attendees with this feature on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-qr-codes-event-tickets-plus/

Hopefully you’ll find all the info you should need to get started here–if not, I’d be glad to answer any other questions that you might have! I’ve also noted your suggestion for a video demonstration in case this is something we might be able to offer in the future! 🙂

I hope that helps! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

The tutorial linked to helped me successfully test a checkin using the QR code with the QuickMark reader. However, be forewarned that you cannot use the In App browser. Since you cannot log into your website with it before scanning a QR code, it just takes you to the event page to buy a ticket. You have to install and use either Chrome or Safari browsers on your devices, being sure to have your ticket takers log into them first before attempting to scan. If anyone knows of a workaround that allows for launching the in-app browser and logging into the WP Dashboard first, please respond.

    Hi Rob,

Glad to hear that our Knowledgebase documentation on QR codes was helpful to you! Thanks for the note on in-app browser limitations for the QuickMark application. After completing some further testing on our end, it does appear that there’s no way to access the in-app browser before scanning a QR code. We’ll be sure to update our documentation this week to clarify the process for using this application with another browser. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know! 🙂

Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions or concerns!

I’m very excited about a WordPress based event management solution that allows me to keep everything on my site and not pay the fees that other solutions charge. However, this aspect of the product is a huge missing link. Checking in event attendees is really the most valuable component of an event management solution. It’s pretty simple to “sell a ticket.” It’s the check-in part that is hard. I have used Eventbrite, TicketBud, and EventSpot and all provide a dedicated app for checking in guests. At all of my events, I have staff/volunteers that I may not know who are tasked with running registration. It would be nearly impossible to create a specific account for all those people that they could log into for the purpose of checking people in. Then the connection between a generic QR reader and a web browser with the staff logged in is really suboptimal. I’m hoping you guys are working on an app that simply checks people in with a built in QR reader and name lookup. My workflow today is that I have a number of iPads that have my event management app on them. I give every staff member an iPad and they simply check people in. Once registration is done, I collect all the iPads. Very simple. Works terrific.

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for taking the time to connect and share your feedback with us! We’re definitely eager to explore options for making our check-in processes more intuitive for event organizers and attendees alike, and we’re open to any suggestions our users might have in that vein. It might be worth submitting your ideas for a dedicated QR code app on our UserVoice forum! This will get your suggestion on our radar for future development and will allow other users to vote their interest and add additional comments. We hope that you’ll consider stopping by! 🙂

Since it appears that our original poster has had their issue resolved, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread out. Thanks again to all of you for reaching out, and please don’t hesitate to open a new thread if there’s anything else that we can do for you!
