ParticipantI have the astrum theme installed on our site. This theme uses purethemes shortcodes. But that does not seem to work on a event page.
Any clue how I can “switch on” the features of my theme so they can be used in event calendar pro?

MemberHi – sorry to hear you are hitting up against difficulties.
So to summarize, where are you embedding these shortcodes and in which view are you finding they do not work – can you point me to a live example?
Are you finding it’s only these particular Pure Theme shortcodes that fail, or are you also hitting problems with others such as the standard [gallery] shortcode that ships with WordPress?
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks for your reply Barry
I checked other shortcodes and they seem to work. Inserted a slider without a problem. So it looks as if the purethemes codes are not working for me.
It does not work when I do a preview or view event. So the full event page. I have not tried other views as I need it to work any way on the full event view.

MemberOK. So we are slightly limited in terms of how far we can go to support integration with third party products and it’s particular difficult in situations like this where it’s not code we’re familiar with.
This is nothing but speculation, but perhaps one of these are true:
- These shortcodes may look like shortcodes, but not actually follow the WordPress shortcode API (a custom implementation, basically) – if so, that might explain why they fail where others continue to work
- Or perhaps they are using the shortcode API but they’re using too specific a trigger before registering them
It’s hard to say. Have you been able to reach out to the authors of that other software? Perhaps if you highlight that you are using them with a custom post type it might help them to ascertain what’s going wrong, here.

ParticipantOk, I will contact purethemes and ask them. If I get an answer I will let you know.
