Published date / admin side

At admin side, why can’t I sort my events by published date as i do with my regular posts or comments?
Is there a way to accomplish this?

Right now I’m afraid there’s no particularly easy way to do this: but it would certainly make a great feature request if you wish to post one (or indeed add your support to any existing requests along these lines):
