Our academy’s course calendar contains courses that will only be offered on request. In order to publish those I need to add an event without a date. Requests would be handled through a contact form.

I am currently testing the free plugin and I see no way to skip entering a date for an event I want to publish. Am I missing something? Or is this a feature that would only be available in the pro version?

In case every event must have a date, do you have any recommendations how to deal in my case? I this case, I would also suggest this as a feature request.

    Thanks for your support

    Hey Wolfgang,

Good question! While a date is required in order to publish an event, a workaround for you might be to hide those dates on the front end using CSS.

Would that be a fitting solution for you? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hi Geoff

Thanks for your answer and for your idea for the workaround. I still think that other aspects like filtering, sorting, or archiving might be tricky if there would be a date, even if it was hidden. Anyway, I could give it a try.

I have a plugin installed that allows me to add custom css code without touching the original plugin’s css files. Could you send me the entries I would have to make here to implement the workaround?

    Thanks and best regards
    Wolfgang

PS: It would be handy if you forum had a checkbox “follow/subscribe to this thread”, so I could get an email if comments were added… 🙂

    Hey Wolfgang,

Man, I know…we’re actually talking about the idea of a subscribe button on threads and are hoping to add it in a future release to the site here. That would help both customers and the team here alike!

I actually do not have the CSS classes off hand, but we do have a great tutorial on how to locate them. You can use that then add the classes to your CSS plugin to hide those elements.

    Cheers!
