ParticipantAfter updating to the latest version of the plugin I was horrified to see the attendee’s for all events made public. This should not happen. The default should be to hide all public information, and then provide an option to toggle it on for specific events if needed. (The ‘Hide attendees list on event page’ option SHOULD BE ‘Show attendees list on event page’!). I regret applying this update in a live environment but we needed the names of our attendees on the csv export for the door list (A huge thank-you for fixing that).
In addition, selecting not to show the attendee list should also remove the user facing option ‘Don’t list me’, since this option is out of context and causes confusion for the end-user/purchaser.
There is also a bug with this update/feature. After updating the plugins then editing the events to select the ‘Hide attendees list on event page’ option, the remaining ticket counts were wiped out! We had to calculate and updated the number of remaining tickets for each ticket type for each event.
I hope you can change your approach to publicizing event attendees in the next update.

MemberGood evening Ian and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the inconveniences caused by the attendee list made public.

I absolutely understand your very valid point and I will relay the information to our product team. Thank you for sharing.

Once again, your suggestion is spot on. I will relay that point as well.

Wow, you are absolutely right! Our sincerest apologies on this one.
I just opened a bug ticket to make sure this gets addressed ASAP. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted as soon as a fix or at least a snippet is available.
In closing, I absolutely understand that the combination of these different points is particularly frustrating.
Thank you for still taking the time to share with us and help us get better.Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Ian,
I am just doing a quick follow-up to ensure that you know that all the issues you have previously reported are now a thing of the past.
This was in large part made possible by the fact that you brought these bugs to our attention.Thank you for that, and once again, we truly apologize for all of the inconvenience.
The good news is that the latest version of our plugins (4.2.3) should offer you a very smooth user experience.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
