Protected Post Featured Image in List View Doesn't Display

    We have The Events Calendar installed here using List View and customized template files in a child theme. Using Divi theme.

    When an Events Calendar post is marked as private, the featured image does not appear in the list view at the url i’ve pasted. I’ve searched the internet and double checked my template files and cannot figure out why this is occuring.

    Is this intended? Is there a fix or a file somewhere where a check is done for a protected post? I have not found anything related to this by digging through the code.

    If we put the password for the Protected post in, we then see the image in the list view. But this is not ideal. With regular posts, if we make them private, they still display the Featured Image in the category view.

    Could you please tell me:

    • If that is the case while you are logged-in as an admin or if you are using a browser where you are not logged-in ?
    • If you can share an example of an URL where that is the case ?
    • If that issue persists if you temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen ?
