ParticipantEvents exist, and they create WooCommerce products, but the products don’t show in catalog view: http://www.irfnews.org/items/
These are the products that show in the dashboard under Products:
3 Events
23 Tickets
2 WebinarsThe only products that show in the catalog view are the Webinars.

MemberTickets, by default, have their catalog visibility set to hidden. You can change this by editing them in the product editor – does that help?

ParticipantWell, that helps a little.
Is there a way to show the Products or Events rather than the Tickets?
My client wants Events, not Tickets, so I’m not sure how I would work that part out.

ParticipantI have another question/request from my client. If you would like me to start another thread/ticket let me know.
They would like to know if the following is available in v 2.0.11 or v3.1, or if it is feasible at all, or on the roadmap?
-to add time zones to event list & event detail
-to offer option for full state names like FloridaThanks.

Almost anything is possible; but is showing events (since the ticket form displays by default on the event page) not already what you are experiencing?
For your other questions, you might be interested in Events Calendar PRO which allows for the creation of additional fields of various types. In terms of using full state names I would imagine that is possible now – but please do create a separate thread (in the Events Calendar PRO forum, ideally) for that and one of the team will at least be able to prod you in the right direction ๐

Participant“is showing events (since the ticket form displays by default on the event page) not already what you are experiencing?” If I understand you correctly, then no, events aren’t displaying in WooCommerce catalog view. Basically I just want to add an event and have it show in the catalog view, which is not how things are working now. I can only see them on the Events list/calendar page.
I do have Events Calendar Pro, so I’ll try using custom fields for time zone.

Right, I think I misunderstood you ๐
So as described above you can set the catalog visiblity for tickets in the product editor. Is that not working for you?

ParticipantI believe (and my client also) that showing Tickets within the product catalog is really confusing and messy.
When we create an Event it may often have as many as 6 tickets (3 different membership levels times 2 different options=6 tickets). So having 6 tickets for EACH event is just really messy in the catalog.
The detail of 6 tickets being available on an event is fine/suitable for the Event detail page, not the catalog.
What is much preferred is to show Events like any other product within our catalog.
So in our catalog we may have:
30 Events
20 Videos for salerather than 180 Tickets! plus 20 Videos for sale
So within the catalog we need to show each Event, not each Ticket.

ParticipantSo for the time being I’ve just had to disable Ticket visibility within the catalog altogether.

MemberRight, well I do see what you are getting at but, at least with the current structure of WooTickets, it would be a lot of work to represent events that way within the catalog (not that it’s impossible altogether, just somewhat tricky).
Please do feel free to post this as something for future consideration over on our UserVoice page – if others also show interest in this then we’d definitely consider it:

And of course you could always consider hiring a suitable developer to implement this for you. On this occasion though I’m afraid there isn’t much else we can offer on a support level.
