ParticipantWe are using a Multisite license with a WPEngine install, and do all our work in Staging first. When we push from staging to live, the Events link is continually dropped from the nav menus. It’s supposed to be added automatically if there are active and upcoming events, and this works in staging, but not in live.
Is there a specific database table to call out in the push from staging to live? We don’t push all tables, we specify tables to push. I have reviewed our DB and don’t see tables that differ other than those that we already include.

ParticipantHowdy Kate!
I would love to help you with this.
Do you have the code that you are using to dynamically hide the link? Sharing that could certainly offer some insight into why this isn’t working. I’d love to review it.
We do not use our own tables in the database, rather our posts are pure Custom Post Types. This means that events are stored in wp_posts, event meta like the dates are stored in wp_postmeta. And the event options are in wp_options.
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Brock, we’re not using any code to dynamically hide that I’m aware of. I thought this was built into the events calendar plugin…

ParticipantThat might explain part of the issue. No the link is the main events page is not meant to hide when there are no upcoming events. In fact we do no actually add the link to the main events page anywhere on your site, you have to add it yourself commonly inside of WP Admin > Appearance > Menus. Have you not added the link on your live site? Could you double check that a link appears in in there on your live site?
Cheers!
