ParticipantHello, I have a problem displaying upcoming events.
I have scheduled events every 2 weeks since October 2016 till November 2017. When I try to show the upcoming events in the sidebar widget it shows the current one (it starts on 17 of Oct and today it’s 19 of Oct so it’s not an upcoming event, it’s a current event) and the other 2 events are wrong too. The second one I see is 14th of November when the next upcoming event is on 31st of October. The third event that I can see in the widget is on October of 2017 without showing me the previous ones.
The same behaviour happens in the list view of the calendar (not in the sidebar) so I think the problem may be in the list itself.
I attach 3 images of what I can see. As you see the calendar is scheduled with recurring events every 2 weeks but the list doesn’t show what I expected.
How can I solve this?
Thanks!!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the challenges you have experienced with recurring events.
I would love to help you with this topic.Would it possible for you to send me screenshots of the following (in a private reply) ? :
- The “Edit Event” screen of one of these events
- The details of each widget under Appearance > Widget
This will allow me to run some tests for you.
Hang in there as we solve this together.

MemberGood evening Victor,
First of all, I want to apologize.
I did reply to this thread on Friday, but somehow my answer seems to have vanished completely !As I was saying back then, I believe the issue is with the way your recurring events are setup.
The main issue is with the start and end dates.
The way you have defined this, you are trying to repeat one large 8 day long event (as opposed to 1 all-day event). You can see my corrected screenshotLet me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantI don’t want a 1 day event, I want an 8 days event (they are like tour travels) and repeat every 2 weeks.
So I think that the first part is correct, I want a big event that lasts 8 days.
And the second date, if you notice, ends at 2017 and not in 2016 so it’s not before the above one as you say.
Probably I’ve mistaken at doing the event recurrency but I think that your answer doesn’t help me in this way. I’ll take a look as soon as possible but if you can check it again it’ll be great.
Thanks

MemberGood afternoon Victor,
Thank you for writing back.
You are absolutely right about your clarifications. Especially about the 2017 end date (totally my bad).
With that in mind, it enabled me to find a glitch with recurring events while using “all day” events.
Simply put, at the current time, this does not work properly. The recurring events defined like that only span over 1 day (instead of 8). There is a bug ticket opened for that.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.
In the meantime (I have asked to see if it would be possible to get a temporary code snippet workaround), it looks like the only way to repeat events spanning over multiple days is to use a start time on the initial day of the multi-day event and an end time on its last day.
Could you try that to see if it helps with the other issues ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.
