Problems changing the colors in Events Pro calendar

Searching the forum, I found an answer for “changing the colors in Events Pro calendar,” which is my question, exactly. But I ran into a snag with the solution given. Brook had posted a link to a video, offering the solution of using the browser inspector tool in Chrome:

When I first discovered this tool I was really excited and was able to make my color changes, no problem. The problem I ran into was saving the changes. The video didn’t mention anything in particular about saving changes. I assumed that the changes were supposed to take automatically. Is there something I’m missing? The last issue I encountered had something to do with the particular Word Press theme I’m using. Could this be an issue with my theme as well?

I was able to figure this out, I got it Assuming it was something to do with my theme, I copied and pasted the code, with changes, from my browser inspector tool to my Custom Includes in the back end of my site.

There’s still one area where I was unable to change the colors but I will address that in a new topic.
