Problems after update

Hi,
Love the calendar! After I updated to the new version, the titles disappeared (I believe they are white on a white background now) in the month page, and even the widgets look somewhat off. Do you have any suggestions?

Hey Jen,

Thanks for the note. Because Events 3.0 has so many changes in code and style, it may be that your calendar needs some customization to show properly with your theme. We’ve had two other people report white text and we’ve got a couple different solutions that you might try. You can find those threads here and here. Please try those ideas and let me know if either of those works. If not, we’ll do our best to find out why and figure out a solution for you.

Can you give me little bit more information about the widgets? Also, are the widgets functioning properly, but just looking funny? Or are they also not working right?

Okay, I think those items fixed most of it. On the individual events, is this how it is supposed to look? It seemed a lot cleaner looking before, but I don’t know if that is just something that has been changed. As far as the widgets, in the sidebar and in the footer, there are still issues. The numbers aren’t bolded anymore when there is an event, and there are a few that are linked to post pages. There are also extra boxes at the bottom, and on the widget in the footer, you can’t see the boxes at all. Here is an example of the sidebar (and you can see the footer on any page): http://stjoechurchofchrist.com/assembly-times/.

Yes, I think that looks lovely. It definitely looks like your theme is integrated nicely with 3.0. I see what you mean about the widget issues. I’m going to ask one of the other support folks to step in here and see if we can help get that sorted. Thanks for your patience.

Hey! Hopefully I can help you out with your widget styling issues. Can you verify that you’re using the correct widget? I suspect that you’ve accidentally selected the ‘Calendar’ widget and not the ‘Events Calendar’. (See this screnshot: http://d.pr/i/sO48)
