Problem with the translated files

We are using the PRO version, but the calendar are taking the files from the free version, so the translation is wrong and there are some words missed. So, as you know we need the files from the Pro Calendar (paid version) instead of the free version. How can we do that?

Thanks for that information. The reason you are seeing so many words in English is because the Catalan translation is really outdated. All of our plugins are translated by volunteers, and no one has worked on this one since version 3.0. Would you be interested in updating the translation? That would fix your site and we’d give you a free license in exchange.

If you are interested, check out the Getting Started post where you’ll find the instructions and files you need. If you are not able to translate it, you’ll unfortunately need to wait for someone else to update the files.

One example:
In tribe-events-calendar-pro-CA, this line:

msgid “Photo”
msgstr “Foto”
But in tribe-events-calendar-ca no exist this reference, because in pro file yes?

Hi pixurro,

The translation file for Events Calendar PRO is in the plugin, so your site is already using it- you don’t need to do anything extra. However, the files are so out of date that the line numbers may be wrong, which means that the translations don’t work even if the word is actually in the .po file. At the very least the files need to be updated with the latest .pot file as described in the Getting Started post.

Yes- both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO have Catalan translations, and each translation file is being used when you set your site’s language. The Events Calendar PRO translation only includes the translations for PRO’s specific features.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you need here. I tried the Catalan translation on my test site and it works pretty well. Can you explain more what you need, and/or share some screenshots so I can understand?
