Problem with past events list

Hello!

I have linked my past events onto my website with the following link:

https://www.valontaival.com/events/category/tyopajat/?tribe_event_display=past

It was working OK as long as I had the default view set as “list” in the settings, which meant the past events were also nicely in a list. However I wanted to change this because I wanted my main calendar to display as “month” by default. But when the month is selected, that affects the past events list too and it just doesn’t work very well with the month view.

How could I keep the main calendar / default view as “month” but the past events still as a list? I know I could use a shortcode with whatever date in the past and it will then display all events from that date…i saw that in another support thread… but I don’t want that list to show current or future events, only past ones.

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

For now, your best bet may be to use a shortcode, although it sounds like you are already aware of this option and were looking for an alternative.  For what it’s worth, here are the available date choices in shortcode:
