ParticipantHi,
For one of out clients we used the Events Calendar Pro. The free calendar was already included in the theme, and the demo of that theme shows a full version of the Events Calendar Pro, so I think the theme is quite compatible.
However we have a problem displaying the Google map for the events:

Also a page where I’ve included a shortcode doesn’t seem to get translated:

How can this be solved?December 8, 2015 at 7:49 pm #1037943Leah
MemberHi Gunter,
I wanted to drop in here and thank you for your patience. We are experiencing a higher-than-usual support load and may not be able to answer threads as fast as possible. We are working hard to address threads as soon as we are able.
Can you confirm what version of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO your site is using? You’ll want to make sure you’re updating to our latest version, 4.0.
Have you tried reaching out to the author of the theme? It’s possible that the theme was compatible with an older version of our plugins but needs to be updated in order to work properly now.
On http://spondylitis.kryap.com/activiteiten/oefengroepen/ I see that you are using our new This Week widget. Have you downloaded the latest Dutch translation for your site? Since that widget is brand new, your current translation file might be missing that string. You can download the latest files here. Add those to your /lang file (replacing the old ones) and hopefully that will resole the issue!
Best,
Leah

ParticipantHowdy Gunter,
I can help you with this. Typically disappearing google maps stem from a theme conflict, but sometimes a plugin conflict can be the culprit. In order to proceed we will need to test if a “conflict” is happening, and if so narrow it down so we can find a fix for it. This guide walks you through how to test for a conflict, and then identify what is conflicting. What is the result of this test?
Cheers!

ParticipantI just enabled and disabled plugins to localize the problem. There was a small plugin that was causing this and I found another plugin that provided the same functionality without ruining the google maps. Thanks for the help.

ParticipantThanks for getting back Gunter! Unfortunately Google Maps conflicts are somewhat common due to many apps needing to embed, but WordPress does not provide a base library for us all to use. So it becomes easy for plugins to step on each others toes, and very little can be done to prevent it 🙁 . Happy you found an alternate plugin.
Cheers!
